Born Frances Gumm, a star was born.
Judy Garland was still a teen
When pig tailed Dorothy did adorn
On The Wizard of Oz big screen.
She had it all - fortune and fame,
But lived in misery and fear.
Though she received world wide acclaim,
She sabotaged her own career.
Her fans did not love her enough.
Self pity was her only friend.
And into herself she did stuff
Down booze and drugs until her end.

Somewhere over the Rainbow, she
Found some peace of soul, hopefully.
