Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Arapaima

An arapaima fish I be
In the river called Amazon.
Eight foot three hundred pounder - me,
Both gills and lung to breathe air on.
Highly endangered are my kind,
Cuz humans do fish and pollute.
We're out of sight, so out of mind.
Could be extinction - absolute.
Some humans cherish us and say
We are a symbol to protect
For the Amazon River way.
I hope these humans are correct.

My species are here, one and all,
Help in the conservation call.
