Super Mom Lizard

A female lizard I do be,
A desert grassland whiptail one.
There's something special about me.
Cuz I do  sole reproduction.
Don't need a male to fertilize
Eggs - I'm parthenogenetic,
With twice the chromosomes - surprise!
I'm awesome maternalistic,
With offspring to rival those who
Do sexually reproduce -
Genetic diversity coup,
With no male to have to seduce.
