Behind Scene, Before Seen - LP Zoo

This Chilean flamingo chick,
First one born at Lincoln Park Zoo,
Is certainly getting a kick
Doing growing up stuff I do.
Covered in a fluffy white fuzz,
Turning to colder clime feather,
Ready for what 'twill be, not 'twas,
Ready for Chicago weather.
My body still needs warm up some.
The heat lamp has me glowing pink,
A sign of colors yet to come.
Can't hurry Mom Nature - wink, wink!

I hope that during the Zoo Lights,
I will be one of winter sights.
