Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Acorn Woodpecker

An acorn woodpecker I be,
A liking acorns - can you guess?
I'm near the acorns near the tree.
I grab onto each acorn - yes!
And now I need a hollow space,
Tuck'em away for future meal.
Humans are all over the place,
But acorns - they're not known to steal.
A big antenna worked just fine,
Inserted acorns one by one.
But humans discovered what's mine,
And messed up all the work I'd done.

300 pounds of nuts fell out.
The humans went nutty - no doubt!
