Kangaroo

Australia was a new found land
That Europeans did explore.
A beast they could not understand,
Did have a pouch and hopped galore.
The Europeans tried to ask
The native Aborigine,
What was this beast? - a language task,
Communication failed to be.
The Aborigine reply
Was, "Kangaroo," politely so.
Europeans talked strange was why.
"Kangaroo" meant "I don't know."
