Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Ok

Ok - where did ok come from?
Martin Van Buren used it for
Old Kinderhook, a mouthful sum,
To ease the Prez campaigning chore.
Some say from Choctaw "okeh" word.
Some say ok is "Greek to me."
From an African slave, was heard,
When the massa was beating he.
In the U.S.A. somehow made,
A short agreement to express,
Without  a bunch of words arrayed
To communicate more by less.

Abbreviation is the way,
As long as making sense - ok!
