Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Turtlely Conserving - LP Zoo

Last year as just an egg, I came
To hatch at the Lincoln Park Zoo.
An ornate box turtle by name,
Under the Zoo's fine care I grew,
Until after a year or so,
I had my head start to head out.
It was my time to be let go.
That's what conservation's about,
To let us endangered return
To native land to thrive a gob.
A transmitter helps humans learn
How I am doing in my job.

I make transmissions as I roam
Illinois sand prairie - now home.
