Time for this joey to peek out
And see what there is worth to see,
And what is all the fuss about -
Those humans trying to see me.
Something told me when I was born,
To crawl a ways on Mama's fur,
Into the pouch that I've seen worn
Around the milk machine for sure!
Here is what I've picked up to date,
Marsupial, sex not yet known,
Australian red kangaroo, mate.
Will stay in pouch until more grown.
