Olympic Flying Object

The Sochi Olympic torch blasts
Into outer space for a run.
The torch bearing in telecasts
To show the world this first be done.
The symbol of peace is relayed
From astronaut to astronaut,
As history is being made.
From the darkness, a true bright spot.
And then returning to the Earth
To travel to the time and place
For Olympians to bear worth
Of the best of the human race.

Since space fire can take a bad turn,
The Olympic torch does not burn.
