Sense Sonnet - Acher

Eats on the Hill

Congressperson Wasserman Schultz
Argues that Congress cannot work
Without getting fed as adults
A subsidized nutritious perk.
We the People must really thank
All congressional rank and file,
Sacrificing big bucks to bank,
To serve in such impoverished style.
So it's the least that We can do -
Keep the cafeteria cost
Subsidized so Congress can chew
The fat and not over exhaust.

So sad is Schultz, she so appeals
We should keep paying meals on deals.
