This is a price that must be paid.
Two such most decorated boys -
Batter, Barry Bonds, asked oh when
Will accusers stop making noise.
Pitcher, Roger Clemens, chimed in,
In a tweet that he understood.
The steroid s--t has hit the fans.
For baseball, this has not been good,
And most just wanted to wash their hands.

Cooperstown has still got Babe Ruth,
Who drank booze during games - forsooth!
