Letter to Russell Simmons

Dear Mr. Simmons: You write of
The urban American plight,
Of how the right wing has no love
For black and brown, but just for white.
You mention the Chicago crime,
Where the Demmie machine has ruled
It seems since beginning of time.
Have all the folks there just been fooled?
President Obama's home town.
The mayor, his former chief of staff.
Both don't do much for black or brown.
The left just blame the right and laugh.

The right wing deserves lots of blame.
The left wing deserves just the same.
