Small Stock

The stock market's not fair - boo hoo!
Irregularity does rule.
What are regular folks to do?
Small investors are made the fool.
All the fast traders with high tech,
The market's a "zero sum game."
I'm stuck with zero - what the heck!
And really don't know who to blame.
Big gov and Wall Street assure me
That fair safeguards are going on.
I get my statement and I see
That all of my money is gone.

The safest thing is still, I guess,
To invest inside my mattress.
