Will We Awake?

The American Dream was dreamed
By generations of the past.
We the People dozed off it seemed
To let the lot of life be cast
By government as nanny state
To tell us all how we should live
To have control of each one's fate.
And in return we each must give
The government heart, soul and mind,
And only dream what we can do
To better help government kind
Fool We the People by the few.

For the American Dream's sake,
C'mon We the People - awake!
