Oprah Winfrey has left the school,
Twenty five years of teaching life,
Of how to live the Golden Rule
In times of joy, in times of strife.
She taught of love of life and God,
Within the each to reach for all.
No human spirit is too flawed
To respond to the divine call.
From roots of poverty but pride,
She prospered on the T.V screen,
And made a great empire worldwide.
For now she takes leave of that scene.
