Sense Sonnet - Steamer

Foreign Do View

Leaders of other nations called
Him a tyrant over his own.
Negotiations for peace stalled,
And war took toll on flesh and bone.
So bad was the internal strife.
So many victims died for naught.
There was no sanctity of life.
Foreign intervention was sought.
But most of the powers that were
Decided not to intervene,
Fearing that it would only stir
A lot of blowback unforseen.

Lincoln was called a tyrant for
The killing in the Civil War.
