Swipe Gripe

I am a debit card swipe fee.
When the consumer pays by card,
The retailer is whacked by me.
The arithmetic is not hard.
The retailer can pick and choose.
Eat me as an added expense.
Charge me to consumers who use
Debit cards as a consequence.
Or give consumers who pay cash
A nice discount for doing so.
Oh those banker boys' teeth will gnash.
I am their fav fee - doncha know?

I guess I've gotten too much fame.
