The Roman Empire came to call,
But failed to hold the whole rag tag.
Byzantine and Ottomans tried.
Nazis and kings, they came and went.
The Communists could not decide
Which red flavor to implement.
Upon dictator Hoxha's death,
Democracy got its first chance.
Capitalists - don't hold your breath,
Berisha's just the latest dance.
