Tsunamis smashing into man,
As a disaster seem quite rare,
Here and there over time span.
Why do scientists really care?
In twenty ten, Chile was struck
By ocean waves after a quake.
It all just happened by bad luck.
What would have changed for heaven's sake,
Knowing in eighteen thirty five
A tsunami had also hit?
Would any dead still be alive,
Knowing that history tidbit?

Coastal Chileans knew the plan.
They felt the quake and then they ran.
