Add Color

We beings being color blind,
Because we're missing the right gene,
Have missed the sights that others find
In multi shades of red and green.
A science team chose me to test
A gene implant so that my brain
Could add these missing to the rest
Of colors. How - I can't explain.
But reds and greens I now enjoy.
So many things are green or red.
My favorites are food and toy.
To be a test, I'm glad I led.
