Politicians and bureaucrats
Know that raising taxes is apt
To cost some jobs of gov fat cats.
So another cash cow is tapped -
Licensing fees are revenues
That kind of slip by scrutiny.
Sold as public don'ts and do's,
More dollar signs all gov does see.
Taken to the furthest extreme,
We all will need license to do
Things now free or so it would seem,
Like exhaling that CO2.

Raising taxes will lose your vote -
Well, license fees will get your goat.
