Leaving a 20 ton footprint
Per year of carbon, studies say.
The all global equivalent
Being 4 tons annually.
I burn a bunch of fossil fuel,
Consuming wasted energy,
Daily breaking the Golden Rule,
Doing unto others' life sphere,
Damage that I can help undo,
Just by caring while I am here,
Wearing an energy wise shoe.

I ask myself what can be done?
My answer is it starts with one.
