My Last Stunt

I was a talk radio star,
Always doing something to get
My ratings to zoom high and far.
Sometimes my bosses got upset.
Waterboarding was in the news.
Was it torture or was it not?
Lots of conflicting points of views.
I pitched my bosses and they bought
The great gimmick of having me
Waterboarded right on the show.
I did it, but the cost did be
My job and way of life. I know.

It caused me more than just a choke.
I had a paralysing stroke.
