Sense Sonnet - Tickler

Schnooky Hooky

It was such a nice, sunny day,
And Mom had let me borrow the car
To run some errands on my way
To school. But school was just too far
To get there on time. So instead,
Playing hooky was my mindset.
I had text messages unread,
So I had replies to send yet.
So doing this, and driving too,
I did not see the squad car there,
And rammed into two men in blue.
No one was hurt, but a damn scare.

In harmony, my folks sounded.
I'm indefinitely grounded.
