Oven Lovin'

My wife found this cake recipe
In a magazine. It called for
Twenty nutmeg nuts, and so she
Went and bought a bunch at the store.
She baked the cake, and I was first
To eat a piece. I felt quite ill.
My stomach felt like it would burst.
The doctors said nutmeg can kill.
We found out the recipe should
Have read, nutmeg - only a pinch.
I did recover pretty good.
At times my wife does make me flinch.

The dear baked me, for heaven's sake,
Another nutmeg in it cake.
