Sense Sonnet - Steamer

 Intolerable

We two do try to get along,

Though we have different politics.

I am right, my colleague is wrong.

But we manage to intermix.

Then one day, put on feet to wear

A new stocking  each foot did get,

An expensive athletic pair.

But the brand name made me upset,

As too far left to tolerate.

A Nike sock just would not do.

Maybe okay for my left mate,

But surely not for this right shoe.

Very conservative I be,

So no woke Nike stuff with me.
