 Friends Again

Since kindergarten Bill and I

Were best friends, together a lot.

But then when high school sophomores, my

Being understanding was not.

Being Bill's friend went a bad way,

When Bill had the courage to tell

Me that he was sure he was gay.

I did not take his truth too well.

When Bill came out to everyone,

I thought everyone would think me

Gay too, so Bill and I were done,

No longer could our friendship be.

I was miserable until

Asked and got forgiveness from Bill.
