Sense Sonnet - Chiller
Incandescent
We Incans weren't allowed to go
Up to Machu Picchu at night.
But I was curious, and so
Walked up the mountain with no light.
Once I got to the sacred place,
I lit a torch to look around,
But didn't stay long, cuz I'd face
Death, so back home I soon be bound.
First, I tried to put the torch out,
To not be seen, but then set me
On fire, waving the torch about,
Then fanned the flames when I did flee.
A human fiery torch, I went,
As I made my Incandescent.
