Sense Sonnet - Acher

 "Now"

"Live in the now" so often heard,

Don't live in past or future time.

But "now" for me, a tricky word.

Not sure for long in "now" I'm

Supposed to be, until time is

Moved on from the "now" to the next.

Be second, a day, how long? Gee whiz!

In each "now" I'm always perplexed.

Of course, whenever "now" is bad

For me, I want out of it quick.

But when my "now' is good, I'm glad

To stay and just let the clock tick.

Then "after" comes, this "now" is more

Just a pile of my life before.
