 The Pink Pillbox Hat

Jacqueline Kennedy wore me,

The pink pillbox hat, the day when

President Kennedy and she

Were in Dallas, Texas, and then,

Sadly, the President was shot,

And in Parkland Hospital, died.

To there, the First Lady was brought,

And then shortly afterward, I'd

Be removed by my Lady to

Be given to someone to hold.

A disappearance then I'd do,

And my whereabouts never told.

Been missing since that fateful day,

I know where I am, but can't say.
