Sense Sonnet - Chiller

 I Took the Lead

I, Cassius, conspired to kill

Julius Caesar, foe of mine.

But would the Senate have the will

To carry out my plan design?

Over and over they did shout,

"Kill him, kill him, kill him," but they

Acted not, and so I had doubt,

And so stabbed Caesar to display

To fellow Senators that act,

And not just words, fulfilled the need

To make Caesar's death a done fact.

Thus, others followed me indeed.

Just like Caesar, I now have died,

By same dagger, in suicide.
