 The Pastor's Deadly Sin

The pastor in a sermon said

He had a sweet tooth for fruit pie.

Making such a confession led

Soon after to his deathbed. Why?

The congregation all brought him

Fruit pies by the dozens, and so

The pastor ate all on a whim.

His belly ballooned up to blow,

Causing his death. The pastor went

To the Pearly Gates, and he told

St. Peter the pies incident.

Frowning, St. Peter then did scold,

"The sin of gluttony you tell,"'

"Burn those calories off in hell!"
