Sense Sonnet - Tickler
Hectic
It was a hectic time and place
For Mom and Dad and family.
Daily unknowns we had to face,
Some natural, some manmade be.
First came the drought, then came the flood.
We had no way to run and hide.
Went from thirsty to stuck in mud.
Then came the bugs. then pesticide,
Which burned us where we were not ate.
Then Mom and Dad told us we would
Yet have to face more hectic fate,
When bad tractors would bring no good.
We were all told by Dad and Mom,
"Family, lettuce romaine calm."
