Damballa, a serpent spirit who

Generates life upon the Earth,

A primary force of Voodoo

To help the human life seek worth.

He moves between water and land,

Kind and wise, his presence to bring

Peace for humans to understand

Better the purpose for being.

Taking possession of a soul,

Damballa makes a human pure,

And to live on with future goal

Of inner peace that's more secure.

When Damballa spirit's within,

A human will be free of sin.
