Sense Sonnet - Pumper
The Fox and the Stars
The Chippewa people tell of
How all the many stars came to
Be scattered through the sky above.
Ojishonda was the one who,
As ruler of starland, did take
A bag of stars and place each night
One star, but once for weary sake,
He took a nap, and with delight
His fun loving pet fox did throw
The whole bag of stars to the sky.
Ojishonda awoke, oh no,
His pet fox looked at him so sly.
Ojishonda, forgiving one,
Forgave his fox for having fun.
