Sense Sonnet - Chiller
I Was Not Wished Well
Left my mother-in-law and wife
At the house and walked to the park.
Guess who had moved in and my life
Was looking very bleak and dark!
My wife's mother did not like me.
Oft she'd told me that to my face.
Now living in my home she'd be
Sure hell for me in time and place.
Came to a wishing well, and I
Threw in a coin but then I find
My wish has gone and hit stone dry,
Which I too hit, pushed from behind.
Thanks to mother-in-law I dwell
Forever in this wishing well.
