Sense Sonnet - Pumper

 Gnome Sense

First winter for the little gnome.

A White Christmas he's hoping for.

From the window of his tree home,

He watches the sky cloud up more.

Then puts on coat, mittens and hat,

And hurries out into the wood

Where everywhere snowflakes are at,

And the little gnome feels so good.

He smells the fresh, he sees the white,

Hears the silence and feels the chill,

Sensing all this to his delight,

And wants to taste a snowflake still.

No taste discovers the gnome young,

But snowflakes sure tickle his tongue.
