Sense Sonnet - Acher
From a Manger
Born in a stable, truth be known,
Not in a palace grand and fine,
In a manger not on a throne
The King of Kings did come divine,
Not in the grandeur of rich Rome,
But in humble Bethlehem town.
He had been sent from heaven's home,
Wearing cloth rags, no robes or crown.
And angels came down from above
To give the news of this King's birth,
Who would reign all with peace and love,
Be salvation for all on Earth.
King of Kings, Baby Jesus Christ,
For human sins be sacrificed.
