Sense Sonnet - Acher

 Lost Weight

I started life light and carefree

With not a worry in the world.

Others did take good care of me.

But as I grew, burdens unfurled,

Most of which were by myself made,

As I blamed others for my woe,

Ignoring the burdens that weighed

In me as through life I did go.

And finally that day did come

When all alone I lay in bed,

No longer able to run from

My life's burdens, then I was dead.

And on life's day that was my last,

I lost my heavy weight of past.
