 Into the Blue/Green

Shallow and calm the ocean here.

I can see clearly rocks below.

Mostly the water does appear

Blue, but also some green does show.

Science says yellow, orange and red

Light is absorbed by water well,

And so reflected back instead,

Mostly blue light, my eyes do tell.

So what about the green hue seen?

Science has an answer for that.

Algae and other plants be green,

Shown in this water habitat.

And when combo of factors poise,

Reflects lovely shade of turquoise.
