Sense Sonnet - Chiller

 Mushrooming

While walking in the woods one day

I decided to take a rest

Before continuing my way.

A grassy meadow looked the best,

And so I sat upon the ground.

But then in the grass I did see

Mushrooms sprouting up all around.

Weird, but this did not bother me.

I fell asleep while sitting there.

How long I slept I could not tell.

But when I woke I was aware

That something was not going well.

And then my horror did begin.

Mushrooms were sprouting from my skin.
