Sense Sonnet - Acher
Pass the Whiskey
They started out in loving way,
But over time their love did leave.
She left him on their final day.
He killed himself and she did grieve.
She turned to whiskey to numb pain,
But living she could not abide.
She felt nothing but stress and strain.
She too committed suicide.
Next to each other, he and she
Are once again together bound,
Both underneath a willow tree.
By their grave I sit on the ground.
I drink the whiskey, feeling sad.
May they rest in peace, Mom and Dad.
