 Emphasize the Good

When I was born, took my first breath,

I knew not yet of time and place,

But came to know of pain and death

As just realities all face.

A lot of time and place be bad.

Each day, some news, written and voice,

Do tell a story very sad.

But I believe I have the choice

To talk and act in such a way,

Not to be negative of mind,

But a positive to convey,

And do so in a manner kind.

The world is a big neighborhood,

If bad, I can help to make good.
