 Fall from Grace

Man with an orchid in his coat,

With pipe in lips and cane in hand

Portrayed a person to take note.

As the prime minister he spanned

The longest term of any man

Under the long rein of the shah

Over the nation of Iran

Ruled by very strict monarch law.

But then came a revolution,

Iran ruled by theocracy.

He was condemned unholy one.

Man's death by firing squad did be.

No longer man with flair arranged,

A casualty of power changed.
