 Cave Drippings

In many caves there do be found

Formations growing down or up.

Whether upward or downward bound,

We humans assign a word, yup.

From cave ceiling, stalactites grow.

From cave ground, stalagmites arise.

Whether or not each one does know -

Probably not, humans surmise.

Formations be of stony stuff,

Caused by cave drippings over time.

It all is natural enough,

Science in reason, art in rhyme.

Be stalactite or stalagmite

Depends on up or down start site.
