Sense Sonnet - Acher
He, Me and the Apple Tree
I let him choose the place to meet.
He chose beneath an apple tree.
Lovely apple blossoms to greet
Us underneath, just he and me.
Again he sputtered sorries out.
I'd heard same sputterings before.
His lines were well practiced no doubt,
And even added a few more.
I said nothing during this while,
And even he knew that of course,
As I looked at him with a smile,
I had decided on divorce.
There was nothing left more to say.
I turned my back and walked away.
