Sense Sonnet - Chiller
The Hitch-Hiker
A young hitch-hiker thumbed a ride
With an old woman in her car.
She welcomed him sit by her side,
And said she'd drive him near or far.
The hitch-hiker did try a while
To make some light small talk with her,
But she just nodded with a smile,
Not up for small talking for sure.
And so the hitch-hiker sat back,
Watched out as time and place went by,
Then nodded off and all went black,
Then awoke, this hitch-hiking guy.
A young driver he did behold,
And he the hitch-hiker now old.
