Sense Sonnet - Pumper

 An Alone Sonneteer

I do my sonneteering at

A time and place alone, I be,

Sitting at my desk habitat,

Hoping some focus comes to me.

All Poetry contests provide

An ample source of challenging

Me to take a subject supplied,

And proceed with sonneteering.

Fourteen lines with syllables eight,

Each line with ending rhyming fit,

And take whatever subject bait,

And try to make some sense of it.

Each journey I do make alone

Into my sonnet twilight zone.
