Sense Sonnet - Pumper
Humbly Proud
An Aesop fable moral does say
Prideful most need humility.
A prideful lion napped one day.
A humble mouse accidently
Woke up the lion who irate
Opened his jaws, the mouse to eat,
But stepped in a rope trap by fate,
No way out with prideful conceit.
The humble mouse, though still in threat,
Did chew away the ropes so that
The lion now free felt regret,
Offered to share his habitat.
The lion found his humble side.
The mouse found reason for real pride.
